Why a bath works.

A warm bath with the right minerals does four distinct things to a body under chronic load. None of them require you to believe in wellness. They're physiological mechanisms - the same ones that have kept two people in demanding work functional for a decade.

Suspension

Weightlessness in water removes compressive load from joints, discs, and connective tissue. For anyone who carries physical or mental weight all day, this is the primary mechanism, not aromatherapy.

Magnesium

Most working adults are chronically deficient. Transdermal absorption through bath water is one of the most bioavailable delivery methods — more direct than oral supplements for muscle and sleep function.

Temperature

Warm water triggers vasodilation. Blood vessels expand, circulation increases, and metabolic waste moves out of tired tissue. The bath does work while you rest in it.

Duration

Twenty minutes is the threshold. Under that, you've had a warm rinse. Over it, your nervous system begins a measurable shift from sympathetic to parasympathetic state.

We work in construction. We photograph. We build things with our hands and our eyes, and we come home to bodies that have been under load all day.

Ten years ago we started taking a daily bath — not because it sounded indulgent, but because it worked. The suspension of warm water is the only thing that fully decompresses a body that's carried weight all day, physical or otherwise.

"We couldn't find a product serious enough for what our bodies actually needed. So we made one."

Brine Burn is built on a decade of daily practice. Three formulas. Real functional ingredients. A tin that earns its place on your ledge. This isn't self-care. It's maintenance.
